CAMP TIMBERLINE IS PROUD TO OFFER A SEMESTER INTERNSHIP

Done with College? Not sure what to do next? Camp Timberline offers a semester long internship designed precisely for those who want to pursue camping ministry as a career, or just want to learn the life leadership skills and spiritual growth this unique ministry offers. Program participants will be certified and learn how to be a successful challenge course practitioner, grow communicatively and organizationally in team leadership, be confident in all aspects of camp programming, grow mindfully in servant ministry, be certified in Wilderness First Aid and Adult and Child CPR, and much more. Our mission at Camp Timberline is, “Reaching and Strengthening Kids for Christ through Sports and Mountain Adventure.”


Ministry Development Areas

Retreat Coordinator

  • Interns will rotate being the coordinator for retreat responsibilities every couple weeks in order that they might acquire an all encompassing skill set for camping ministry. (i.e. kitchen coordinator, audio visual coordinator, challenge course coordinator, programming coordinator).
  • Interns will be responsible for communicating with the RD, to properly coordinate retreat volunteers in their area of focus for each retreat.
  • Interns will all be responsible for ropes course and kitchen duties, daily during the retreat as well as their assigned area of coordination.

Program Development

  • Interns will develop an extensive camp program of their choosing to be a part of their EXP portfolio (logged hours, certifications, leadership studies, etc.); program will be completed before the internship expires.
Personal/Group Study
  • Interns will be responsible for reading material assigned for each week’s group study.
  • Each intern will be assigned up to two weeks, to lead the team in a devotional or bible study two times in each week assigned.

Camp Chores

  • Interns will be responsible for maintaining camp at all times.
  • Interns will have a weekly to do list to complete, to keep camp looking its greatest.

Summer Staff Recruiting

  • Interns will participate in the recruiting of our summer staff team for the following summer.
Community Volunteering
  • Interns will volunteer each week at selected sites in the Estes Park or Fort Collins communities.

Fellowship

Camp Timberline is a community of excited fun loving Christ-centered believers. Everyone who passes through the gates of Camp T become part of a BIG family. We are dedicated to those who share their lives with us!!! The location simply adds to the experience. The Rocky Mountains have a way of getting your attention no matter how much time you spend in them. You can’t help but recognize the beauty of the Lord!!! Yeah Baby!

Housing
All Participants will live on camp property without rent. Food is provided on weekends and left overs are free reign throughout the weekend.

Finances
Unlike many internships Camp Timberline will extend a monthly stipend plus room and board, as well as vacation time…. and more elk than you can shake a stick at!
