Have you ever “flown” for hundreds of feet through the air, or enjoyed the sunrise from the summit of a mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park? Have you ever climbed 20’ high in a tree and leapt out to catch a trapeze, or had lunch on a lakeshore that’s above the tree line? If not, you’re about to while taking part in Mountain Adventure at Camp Timberline! Mountain Adventure is comprised of two traditioned aspects of Camp: High Ropes Elements and All-Camp Hike Day. Between our different high elements and the surrounding beauty of God’s creation, Mountain Adventure at Camp T is unbeatable!

High Ropes Elements:

High ropes are by far one of the coolest aspects of Camp Timberline! When asked what their favorite part of camp was, many campers instinctively and excitingly said their time “hanging out” during high ropes…pun intended. Laden with challenge and fun, our high ropes elements and “rides” are top tier. Campers will have the opportunity to safely experience every component of our course during their week at Camp T. Aside from being totally fun and awesome, high ropes are all about experiential learning. Each element is unique in its purpose and challenge, varying in degree of difficulty…but all completely safe. Some experts have said that people obtain approximately 15% of what they read and hear. They retain 83% of what they do, and 90% when given the opportunity to reflect on and internalize their experience. That’s what our highly-trained ropes staff and counselors focus on – encouraging the campers to reflect on their experience and find ways to apply it to their life spiritually!

All-Camp Hike Day:

Every Monday each cabin group has the opportunity to tackle some of the most beautiful areas in North America! It’s quite obvious that God spent some extra time on Northern Colorado! Each cabin is assigned a hike on a trail that fits their age and ability. Their counselors, certified in CPR and First Aid, accompany them as their guides for the hike! Campers are encouraged to be prepared for one of the absolute best days of camp. Some items to remember to include are, but not limited to:
Backpack
Extra layers of clothing
Water (2 bottles)
Sunscreen
Camera
Proper shoes
Bible
Extra pair of socks

Get ready…it’s going to be AWESOME!
